[Noisy Pixel: Disgaea Creator Says PlayStation Should "Get Rid Of The Hardware" If Physical Games End]

　これは上記サイトにて、2026年にアークシステムワークスから発売予定の「デモンズナイトフィーバー」についてインタビューを受けている中で飛び出した発言だそうなのですが、元日本一ソフトウェア社長、現日本ファルコム外部プロデューサーを務める新川宗平氏がSIEのPS向け新作タイトルのフィジカル版（ディスク）生産終了予定を発表した事について、

“I think physical editions of games are very important.

For fans, being able to keep a game they love as an object can have a great deal of value. It becomes a memory or a keepsake connected to something that matters to them.

They can also bring that physical game to an event like this and ask someone to sign it. Afterward, they can take it home, display it, and decorate their room with it. Physical games are important because they can carry that kind of meaning.”

“From a purely business perspective, I can understand why the people at Sony would make that decision. However, the executives who decided it have probably never experienced coming to an event like Anime Expo and having someone approach them with a physical game to ask for an autograph.

I don’t think they understand the feelings of those fans, and they may never have considered what physical editions mean to the people who value them.”

“If they’re going to go as far as eliminating physical packages, they may as well eliminate the hardware too. A television would be enough. Why would you need the console?

If you’re going to get rid of physical games, you may as well go all the way.”

　“フィジカル版を無くすならハードも無くしてしまえばいい、テレビがあれば十分でゲーム機なんて必要無いでしょ？フィジカル版を無くすなら徹底的にやるべきだ”

　等と意味不明な事を言い出したという話ですね。

　ところで3月にブロッコリから発売された「エトランジュ オーヴァーロード」も上述の「デモンズナイトフィーバー」もフィジカル版が存在しないPC(Steam)版があるみたいなんですけど？
　PCなんてハードが必要無いなんて言う人は流石に見かけたこと無いんですよね。

　ちなみに発売済みの「エトランジュ オーヴァーロード」は凄いですよ、3/26に発売されたのですが、3/29までの聖典ファミ通ランキング週間ランキングで30位以内に全機種ランクインせず（1679本以下）。

　そもそもこれ任ッチ版しかフィジカル版が出ていない（おまけにそれすら聖典Top30にランクインしていない）のによくもまあ“フィジカル版の大事さがソニーの奴らには分からないんだガー！”とか言い出せたものですね。

　ちなみにSteamでの売れ行きも凄いですよ。

　Steamにおけるレビューは“Positive”、ただしレビュー件数が英語18件、日本語4件。

　総合的に判断すると、元スクエニ本村氏の「プリッとプリズナー」をも上回る逸材ですね。

　今回のソニーガー発言に関しては何かしらポジショントークが行きすぎたのだろうとは思いますが、それにしてもこれはひどい。

　任しちゃったにしても何でしょうね…任すればイメエポ？
