How I could see this year going:

Xbox: Hopefully a steady cadence of exclusives throughout 2024: Avowed, Hellblade 2, STALKER 2, Replaced, and maybe a surprise or two, like Indiana Jones and/or DOOM: Year Zero.

PlayStation: Is it gonna be super quiet, first party-wise? They've announced next to nothing, though they do have FF7R and Rise of the Ronin coming up very soon on the third-party side. Maybe one of their first-party studios will remember that they have a kickass VR headset that needs some premier games for it.

Nintendo: Seems like a quiet first half (I don't see stuff like Mario vs. Donkey Kong setting the world on fire like TotK did), but a MONSTER second half from the likely Switch 2 (aka Super Nintendo Switch) announcement, probably via a Nintendo Direct in June (my guess), leading up to its expected launch in the Fall.

　（今年｛2024年｝の予想としてXboxは年間を通じて独占タイトルが安定してリリースされることが期待され、サプライズが1-2個はあると考えていると書き、PSはこれといったタイトルがなくサードもFFVIIリバースとRoninくらい、任天堂は前半は静かそうだが6月にSwitch2が発表されると思う、9-10ヶ月後にどれくらい正しいのか答え合わせしてみてね！との投weet｛なおインディジョーンズは発売前にPSマルチ化が発表され、任ッチの後継機種は未だに発表されていません｝）


　↓11ヶ月半のち、TGAのGOTYノミネートが発表され…

Good lord this is the worst list of GOTY nominees ever.

This isn't The Game Awards' fault (which IGN, among others, nominates), but just how 2024 shook out.

(P.S. I'm in the "expansion packs shouldn't be nominated for GOTY" camp)

Xbox fan Ryan McCaffrey was convinced Microsoft would dominate 2024. This was not the case. Now he insists this year's GOTY list is “the worst ever”. lol

　“海外チカくんかわいそう”
　“確信って箱に何かあったっけ”
　“そもそも箱って何か出てたっけ…？”
　“このリスト全部遊べるのはPS5だけだからね”

　来年の話をすると鬼が笑うといいますが、今年の話ですら笑いものになってしまったようですね。
　Xbox族にしてみればいきなりMS傘下のXbox Game StudiosがPSプラのサードに降るとかまさに青天の霹靂、想像してもいなかった事態なのでしょうが。
